This exciting renovation project created a state-of-the-art Printmaking Lab for the Fine Arts Department at UW-Whitewater.  An existing undersized and outdated printmaking lab, located in the basement of the Greenhill Center, was enlarged and completely renovated.  All new plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, exhaust, lighting and power distribution systems were installed.  New instructor office, storage room, stainless steel sinks, hand wash sinks, eyewash/shower stations, overhead projectors, whiteboards and pin up displays were added.  New cabinets, chemical resistant countertops and a new and enlarged lab entry were also provided.  An existing suspended acoustic ceiling was removed allowing for the lab to have a significantly higher painted and reflective ceiling.  All work was ADA compliant and met University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s guidelines for Universal Design.   Boer Architects, Inc. provided full architectural services including design, construction document, bidding and construction administration services.  The project was completed on time and on budget and was an outstanding collaborative effort between, the BAI design team, UW-W Greenhill Center staff and the Division of Facilities Development and Management.
