Kate Allen

Kate Allen joined Boer Architects, Inc. in 2026 as an architectural intern after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with Certificates in Business and Historic Preservation from the University of Kentucky. During her studies, she participated in a study abroad program in Germany and Italy and completed architectural sustainability research in Switzerland, Austria, and Sweden.

 

Through her prior professional experience, Kate developed strong leadership, accountability, communication, and organizational skills. She is currently an Associate at Boer Architects, Inc., where she contributes to the development and coordination of construction documents. She is proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.

 

As an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), Kate is actively pursuing architectural licensure and aspires to become a project manager. Her professional interests include the technical aspects of architecture, construction materials and methods, sustainability, urban planning, and culturally responsive design. She is passionate about creating thoughtful, sustainable, and technically sound environments that positively impact their communities.
