Food Court Alterations
This project represents Phase 1 of a multi-phase project. Future phases involve remodeling of an adjacent activity center and dining area.
The project involved the complete demolition remodeling of the existing food court at the Student Services Building at MATC’s downtown Milwaukee campus. Specific work related to food preparation and sales included new stainless steel work counters, kitchen food prep and refrigeration equipment, sales counters and cash register stations. Architectural work involved demolition, metal studs, drywall, acoustic ceiling tile porcelain floor tile and base, hollow metal door frames, wood doors and sliding and coiling security gates. Plumbing, HVAC and lighting systems were completely updated. These modernization efforts allowed MATC to better serve the dining and food services needs of its student population.
This project was fast tracked through contraction with completion set for January 10, 2003 - only 6 weeks after contract signing.
